The Meuse cycle route presents their new website
A large number of partners from France, Belgium and the Netherlands have recently worked on the development of a top trail along the beautiful river Meuse.
The route from its source to river mouth offers a variety of natural splendour with cozy little towns and tourist highlights. With the launch of www.maasfietsroute.eu everyone can visit the unique places this 1000 km long route harbours.
When visiting www.maasfietsroute.eu you will discover the mountain setting in the Vosges in France, find the best places in Belgium for tasting its well known Abbey beer and will learn more about the culture and historical sites the Netherlands offer. You'll pass the historic town of Dordrecht, the windmill area Kinderdijk and nature parc The Biesbosch. The site provides all current information for planning a (multi) day cycle trip along the river Meuse.
You can take pleasant trips on the water by public transport. A modern waterbus travels between Rotterdam, Kinderdijk and Dordrecht.
How the ancient craft of glassblowing is practised can be seen in the Royal Leerdam Crystal glass factory. Glassblowers are at work here with a blowpipe, liquid glass and a red-hot furnace.
